Topshop is renowned for having the latest fashionable clothes, shoes and accessories.
Now, the fashion store have their own makeup range, and we got our hands on some of their new products which we were kindly sent.
First and foremost, lets talk about the packaging. Sometimes when you buy fashion retailers makeup, you find the quality of the packaging can be poor. However, we were really impressed with the packaging as the unique names and labels on the products gave them their own identity.
Both the cream eyeshadow and Lip Bullet looks like it could be stocked in a department store, and in all honesty, we would pay above their asking prices for some of their products.
Here, we’re going to look at the Cream eyeshadow palette in ‘Game on’ and the new Lip Bullet in ‘There She Goes’.
The Cream eyeshadow palette has four colours included – a dark blue with grey tones, a gunmetal silver, bronze and rose gold. All of the colours are highly pigmented and are easy to apply. Ideally you could use these on your eyes as the perfect base, and apply eyeshadow on top, however it would also be possible to use these on their own.
In terms of how these lasted, we were impressed with how long they were visible on the eyes, and most importantly, didn’t crease. If you have oily eyelids, these probably aren’t for you, but for the rest of us, the Topshop Cream Eyeshadow Palette is an excellent addition to any makeup bag.
As for the Lip Bullet, the colour again is highly pigmented, meaning the colour was bold from the first application. We found this to be really creamy and moisturising. The colour iteself ‘There she goes’ is a bronze with pink undertones. We really found this to be long lasting and didn’t dry our lips out.
Overall, we really enjoyed using the Topshop products, and would genuinely purchase more Topshop makeup to try out. The range has everything from eyeshadow palettes to lip gloss and are available to buy in many Topshop stores and at www.topshop.com
