TOMY and Pokémon Company sign Multi-Year global Licensing Agreement

Beginning in 2013 TOMY and The Pokémon Company sign a Multi-Year Argeement for figures, accessories, plush and more.

It looks like our yellow Pikachu friends is back and now you will be able to buy new figures, plush, accessories and more as TOMY Group and Pokemon join forces.

The new agreement makes TOMY Group the unified global toy partner for the sought-after Pokémon brand, one of the world’s leading kids entertainment franchises.

Greg Kilrea, President of TOMY International said: “We are proud to make this major new global business announcement and we are thrilled to extend the relationship between TOMY and the Pokémon brand, As an integrated organization, TOMY can provide our partners with unparalleled access to markets worldwide.”

Colin Palmer, Vice  President of Marketing and Licensing for The Pokémon Company International said: “We are excited to work with TOMY International to bring fun, engaging Pokémon toys to market and our fans,”

The toys are rumored to be based around the highly-anticipated video game sequels, Pokémon Black 2 and Pokémon White 2 and if the success of the trading cards and orginal game is anythign to go buy you can expect your child to be collecting these new toys too.

    From what I’m getting of this, this will allow the USA to access the pokemon interactive plush toys in the english dub without having to get them from the UK. If that’s true, I now have something to look forward to for next year when getting them, especially the Pikachu, Oshawott, Snivy, and Tepig interactive plush toys, come to the USA officially in 2013.
