We’re Getting A White Christmas?

treeNews just in from our sources at the North Pole indicates that this year we could be getting a White Christmas.

Snow is a key part of winter, and every year we say “this year we’re getting a white Christmas” which invariably never materializes however this year, we actually could well be!

El Nino is predicted to hit the UK this year (it normally hits us once in seven years) and is a phenomenon that happens in the Pacific Ocean close to Peru.

Experts predict this to be a significant event and of course are warning about rising food prices because of it.

Speaking do the Daily Mirror Adam Scaife, said: “Scientists have been predicting a significant El Nino and the Met Office forecasts now agree on at least a moderate event. This has a huge impact on the Indian monsoon affecting crops and global prices of everything from coffee to the collapse of eastern fisheries.”

While we are of course worried about rising food costs, we are also really excited at the idea of a snowy, white Christmas!
