What was your favourite Childhood film?

E.T The Movie voted as childhood favouriteET has been named the nation’s favourite childhood film after a survey up and down the UK was taken. UnderTheChristmasTree asks: What was your favourite film when you were younger?

From the 1942 classic Bambi to a family favourite Toy Story, made in 1995, the results show that ET the Extra-Terrestrial by Steven Spielberg in 1982 was the clear winner.

What did you watch when you were younger?  Do you still watch your favourite childhood film now?

The results also showed that Action and Adventure was Britain’s best movie genre and most people watched movies around two to four times a month.

  • 5. Toy Story

One of our most loved films would have to be the original Santa Clause with David Huddleston, John Lithgow and Dudley Moore as ‘Patch’. Every Christmas we (as we are a family business) all sit down together and put this on, not only does it bring back childhood memories but puts us right into Christmas mode.
