Ben Daniel’s is the early favourite but who do you think will be taking to the tardis to be the new Doctor Who?
After current Doctor Who star Matt Smith announced he would be leaving the show after three years of holding the keys to the tardis, bets were on to see who would be taking charge of the tardis.
Rumors were flying around, with many suggesting a woman might get the job, odds for Billie Piper (former assistant to Dr Who – David Tennant) was 16-1.
According to Rupert Adams from William Hill he said 10 years ago the company was offering odds of 33-1 for a female Doctor Who but now odds have been slashed to just 5-1.
Other candidates include – Broadchurch star Olivia Colman 25-1, Ben Daniles at 3-1 and Russell Tovey at 10-1, however could popular David Tennant be making a return?
Matt Smith is to bow out at Christmas with a special and has said: ‘Doctor Who has been the most brilliant experience for me as an actor and a bloke, and that largely is down to the cast, crew and fans of the show.’
