I prefer sending traditional cards because it’s more personal (I make some of mine) and there’s nothing like having a string of cards hanging up for Christmas

  19. MrsNotgotalot
    November 19, 2014 / 2:12 pm

As postage costs are so high I shall send a mixture of both. The people I can hand deliver to and those who do not live nearby but do not have internet access will get a traditional Christmas card but people further afield will receive ecards.

  20. Chantel
    November 19, 2014 / 2:19 pm

Traditional, eCards are not an option for some (older) relatives! Plus I agree that traditional cards can be displayed & just appear as if more thought has been put into them.

  21. Barrie Phillips
    November 19, 2014 / 2:29 pm

In keeping with the Christmas spirit I will continue to send traditional cards.

  23. Judith Rodgers
    November 19, 2014 / 3:31 pm

Traditional cards – together with a letter for those friends I don’t often see.

  24. Simon
    November 19, 2014 / 3:34 pm

Traditional cards – hand-written means more personal, to me. Plus, they demonstrate some (modest) level of forward planning to cope with last posting dates and buying stamps!

  25. Karen Holden-Craufurd
    November 19, 2014 / 3:36 pm

Traditional cards for me and I always buy from a leading charity. This year my cards have been bought from Breakthrough Breast Cancer, which is a charity personal to me.

  26. Gill Faichney
    November 19, 2014 / 3:44 pm

  29. Jane Willis
    November 19, 2014 / 3:48 pm

Traditional cards. I make individual hand made cards which I know the recipients will treasure. And in any case, people tend not to open ecards any more because of the number of viruses that were spread by them ten years or so ago, so there’s no point in sending them

  30. Alexandra McGahey
    November 19, 2014 / 3:50 pm

    Always traditional!

  31. Sharon Hingley
    November 19, 2014 / 3:51 pm

  34. Sue Menzies
    November 19, 2014 / 3:59 pm

I will be sending traditional ones because some people don’t have a computer/printer and even the ones who do probably wouldn’t print them out so pretty pointless sending ecards.

  35. peter kelly

  41. November 19, 2014 / 4:30 pm

Yes , we will be sending Christmad cards this year. We are getting on in years and a lot of our friends are even older! They seem to appreciate an old fashioned card and a short letter. Traditional every year I hope that friends and family get the same joy in receiving their cards as I get in sending them.
