Zynga and Hasbro Team Up For New Board Games

Zynga and Hasbro are set to offer a brand new board game in time for the festive period.

Social gaming company Zynga and gamemaker Hasbro has teamed up together to produce a line of board games which have been inspired by the online Zynga games which have been played by millions around the world. The partnership between the two companies was announced back in February.

A few of the games are based on a Zynga property and some combine classic board games with Zynga properties. One of the new games will have offerings of a physical adaption of Draw Something – and another is a mashup called “CityVille Monopoly”. There is also FarmVille Hungry Hungry Herd which is a Hunhry Hungry Hippos mashup. FarmVille Animal Game featuring Memory and FarmVille Old Maid & Go Fish and there will be a Words With Friends board game which will resemble Scrabble but with slightly different point values and letter distributions.

Many of the games will include digital values, for example if you purchase Words with Friends game players will be given access to a bunch of new digital features.

In total 8 games will be launched with prices expected to be around $19.99 to $24.99 and are set to hit the selves in the U.S. this month, and later this fall in the U.K, Australia and Canada.
