CBeebies Panto returns with a swashbuckling Christmas adventure as Treasure Island sails into Liverpool
CBeebies has revealed that this year’s iconic CBeebies Panto will be a festive reimagining of Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island. The 2026 production will be filmed in Liverpool, delivering a swashbuckling Christmas adventure for families across the UK.

🎄 Filming at Liverpool Empire Theatre
Produced by BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions, the Christmas special will be recorded at Liverpool’s Empire Theatre on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 October 2026. A boatload of CBeebies favourites — including Andy Day — will take to the stage for a lively, pirate‑packed retelling designed to entertain preschoolers, parents and grandparents.
🎄 A Festive Treasure Hunt Across the High Seas
This year’s story follows Jim and his dad, Bertie, as they set off on a treasure hunt across the high seas. Along their journey, they encounter sneaky pirates, a chatty seagull and a festive surprise that anchors the show firmly in the Christmas season.
Expect singing, dancing and plenty of laughs, with original music from Banks and Wag guaranteed to have audiences “a‑harr’ing” along.
