We were delighted when Drumond Park sent us over their new action packed game Bang On! and quickly took a look inside the box.
Bang On! Is a new team player game from top game manufacturer Drumond Park, suitable for ages 8 –adult and if you know someone who likes fast moving, frantic games then this will be one to pop into their Christmas stocking.
This is the perfect game for a family night in; priced at around £27.99, it does require 3 AAA batteries which are not included and does require a minimum of two teams with two players in each. The aim of the game is to think of as many answers to the questions as you can before the timer on the Bang on! unit runs down. (Hint: it runs down REALLY quickly!) Prior to playing the game I took a quick look through the rules and after a sneaky peek at the questions, I was certain that this game would be a walk in the park. With such simple questions – boys’ names beginning with the letter ‘S’! or Sports that use a net how could we lose? Apparently EASILY!
We had such fun with this game and couldn’t believe how difficult it was to get our brains in gear. Fortunately I paired up with Holly who was a dab hand with the hammer and led the way when it came to blurting out answers. Those extra seconds she managed to collect left Mandy and Katy struggling to catch up.
Bang On! is a simple, fast paced game that had us tearing our hair out in frustration as we tried to remember the name of round fruits and other simple topics. However, when the Banger hits the big red button to start the game it turns into a free-for-all as team members shout out answers. Every correct answer gained an extra bang with the hammer and a precious six seconds are added each time giving Mandy a chance to grab extra points for her team.
This game is played at break neck speed until the time runs out and the first team to make it round the board to the winning space wins the game.
We had such fun playing Bang On! This would make a great ice-breaker or fabulous after Christmas dinner game for friends and family and as it’s played in teams even the little ones can take part.
I know I’d definitely like to find one (along with many other gifts – hint: hint) on Christmas morning. So Santa if you’re reading this don’t forget to drop one into my stocking this Christmas! This game can be purchased at Amazon , Toys R Us and Argos
