Every Christmas, the team here at UnderTheChristmasTree gathers together for our much-loved annual Christmas Taste Test, and this year we’re thrilled to welcome Willow & Finch to the festive lineup.

Known for their elegant and indulgent creations, the brand has launched a new seasonal range, and we couldn’t wait to unwrap, taste, and review each treat. From rich and comforting flavours to playful festive twists, we put them to the ultimate test: would we buy them again for our own Christmas celebrations?

To keep things fair, we invited members of our team, friends, and family to join in the fun, ensuring a wide range of taste buds and opinions. After all, Christmas is all about sharing – especially when it comes to delicious food.

Willow & Finch Stollen Gourmet Cookies

The Stollen Gourmet Cookies turned out to be a real surprise hit in our taste test – and honestly, a marzipan dream come true. Packed with rich brown sugar dough, a hint of warming spice, and bursts of juicy dried fruits, every bite felt like Christmas wrapped up in a cookie. Our tasters said the hidden marzipan centre was the ultimate festive twist – sweet, smooth, and perfectly balanced. Plus, the cookie itself was huge (you could share… though we’re not sure you’ll want to!). Moist, fruity, and indulgent, stollen fans will absolutely adore these.

Willow & Finch Dark Chocolate Stem Ginger Cookies

The Dark Chocolate Stem Ginger Cookies didn’t just look good – they smelled incredible too. Our tasters said the rich ginger aroma hit them straight away and instantly felt like Christmas. The cookies had that perfect mix of crumbly and chewy, with zingy ginger running through every bite. Dark chocolate chunks were dotted generously throughout, adding just the right amount of indulgence. Some of us said one was plenty… while others admitted they’d happily eat the whole batch!

Willow & Finch Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

Our tasters loved the playful candy cane crunch sprinkled on top, which gave them a true Christmas sparkle (though a few said they wouldn’t have minded even more!). The cookie itself was soft, rich, and packed with smooth Belgian chocolate chunks that melted beautifully. Perfect alongside a hot chocolate, these gave us total elf vibes. Chocolate fans will adore the indulgence – though for some, one might just be enough!

Willow & Finch Bakewell Blondie Traybake

The Christmas Bakewell Blondie Traybake was a real crowd-pleaser – in fact, some of our tasters went back for seconds (and even thirds!). The rich, sweet mincemeat was beautifully balanced throughout the soft blondie base, while the flaked almonds on top added a nutty crunch that tied it all together. Moist, perfectly baked, and easy to slice, it looked as good as it tasted. Our tasters said this was the ideal traybake to share with family in the run-up to Christmas.
