Mince Pie Winner: Asda luxury Mince Pies
Verdict: Our best mince pies got the whole office talking about the taste that reminds you exactly of Christmas! These snowflake embossed mince pies were full of flavour and filled its golden pastry to the brim. With a gorgeous thick rich sauce and a delicious shortbread biscuit taste, these were not overly too citrus and had the perfect balance of sweet and spice. Pass us another!
Christmas Pudding Winner: Iceland Luxury Christmas Pudding
Verdict: A Christmas pudding should have the right amount of alcohol, nuts, fruit and sweetness and Iceland have delivered. Our taste testers were very impressed with the texture of the pudding, it held its shape perfectly, the balance between alcohol and rich fruit was perfect and wasn’t too heavy. So just pass us this pud with some cream and we’re happy!
Christmas cake Winner: Aldi Specially Selected Luxury Christmas Cake
Verdict: Aldi was the winner of our best Christmas cake category. With its pearlescent shimmer and multi-layered star on top, this will make your dinner table glistened with sparkle. The fruity cake is layered with a good amount of icing and had huge amount of raisins inside, the marzipan was not overly sweet and like true Christmas cake a slight boozy kick. Simply divine!
Centrepiece dessert Winner: Tesco Finest Belgian Chocolate and Clementine Cake
Verdict: Our favourtie centrepiece goes to this hugely impressive Belgium Chocolate and Clementine Cake which to us ticked every single box. With its outstanding look, we didn’t even want to cut a slice, is adorned with lustred chocolate decorations which gave this a copper shimmer look, every single person in the office ooh’ed and ahh’d. Holding its shape when you cut, each layer was moist and smelled and tasted like a very decadent chocolatey jaffa cake. A small slice was simply not even an option! If you’re looking to impress this Christmas make sure this is centre of your table.
Festive fizz joint winners: Sainsburys Taste The Difference Blanc De Noirs Champagne & Marks And Spencers 2015 Vintage Cava Brut
Verdict: We simply could not decide between Sainsburys and Marks And Spencers champagne. Both of these had everything we could have wanted from a champagne. Our panel said these were deliciously fruity and fizzy. Both of these come in at a whopping 12%, and are the perfect apperitif and ideal for those who might enjoy a glass or two of Champagne.

Cheese Winner: ASDA Cheddar Truffle Cheese
Verdict: Asda’s Cheddar with Truffle has been voted favourite in this taste test. The cheese is creamy and smooth and the truffle alongside the cheddar really balanced each other out and didn’t overpower in taste. The truffle gave quite an oak taste and is everything you would want in a cheese.
