What is likely to be the top toys of 2012? App Toys are likely to become the latest craze to hit the toy market and as girls of all ages having smart phones or tablets and as downloading and using apps is second nature to them they are going to love playing the latest games and app toys will hugely increase their play experience. With companies such as Vtech, Lego, Leapfrog and more releasing new girls toys, 2012 looks like being another exciting time in the toy market.
Toys 2011
2011 was the year of blockbuster film releases and related toys were hugely sought after. The very last Harry Potter film was released in July and Lego – always up to date with new releases – released a range of Lego to compliment the successful movie.
Lego, Disney and Fisher Price were among the manufacturers releasing new toys throughout 2011 and the LeapPad Explorer and Innotab were the clear winners with stocks of both quickly running out. Television played a huge role in 2010 top girls toys and following the release of the much awaited Toy Story 3 movie – the pink, strawberry scented Lots O Huggin Bear was hugely successful.
As always Sylvanian Families are always near the top of the most popular girls range. This iconic range of toys are always popular at Christmas and throughout the year. JLS were one of 2010 most popular groups to leave the X-factor and fans will hope that the much anticipated range of dolls will be in their stockings on Christmas morning.
