Netflix announces ‘That Christmas’ film for 2024

A brand new festive film is heading to Netflix in 2024. ‘That Christmas is based on the successful series of children’s books by BAFTA winner and Academy Award nominee Richard Curtis.

That Christmas follows a series of entwined tales of the much loved Children’s Christmas books (The Empty Stocking, Snow Dayand That Christmas) written by acclaimed BAFTA® Award-winning and Academy Award®-nominated writer and director, Richard Curtislove. The story is all about loneliness, family and friends, and Santa Claus making a big mistake and an enormous number of turkeys.

UPDATE: Rumour has it that Ed Sheeran has written and recorded a song for the brand-new Christmas film. The track is named ‘Under The Tree’ with the film being released with the song on Friday 6th December.

Locksmith Animation’s heartwarming film will see Simon Otto make a feature film directorial debut and Nicola P. Hearon and Adam Tandy will produce the festive animated film.
