The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse BBC One Christmas idents

BBC One launches this year’s Christmas idents starring Charlie Mackesy’s beloved characters from The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse.

Christmas has officially landed on BBC One as it launches The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse as its Christmas idents.

Created especially for the BBC by the film’s animators, the first of three 40-second idents show a story of kindness, friendship, courage and hope for viewers of all ages in a heart-warming, hand-drawn traditionally animated film based on Charlie Mackesy’s book, The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse.

In each of the three very festive scenes, we see the boy and the mole sharing a Christmas pudding in a snowy wood, the boy and the mole sitting in a tree at night, while the fox and the horse join them on the snowy ground and lastly the boy and the mole riding on the horse’s back as they walk alongside a river with the fox following behind them.

The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse is a Matthew Freud production of a Charlie Mackesy film, produced by NoneMore Productions and Bad Robot Productions (1 x 32 mins) for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. It was acquired by Charlotte Moore, BBC Chief Content Officer and Ayela Butt, BBC Drama Commissioning Executive.
