Fans of Chicken Run will be excited to know that Aardman and Netflix are teaming up again to release a brand new sequel, Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget.
The eagerly anticipated sequel to the highest-grossing stop-motion animated film of all time will be going exclusively to Netflix in 2023. The action-packed comedy will follow heroes who have to summon up all their resources to break into an impenetrable fortress, and those are chickens!
Here’s what you can expect from the film:
‘Having pulled off a death-defying escape from Tweedy’s farm, Ginger has finally found her dream – a peaceful island sanctuary for the whole flock, far from the dangers of the human world. When she and Rocky hatch a little girl called Molly, Ginger’s happy ending seems complete. But back on the mainland the whole of chicken-kind faces a new and terrible threat. For Ginger and her team, even if it means putting their own hard-won freedom at risk – this time, they’re breaking in!’
The cast has also been announced and it includes Thandiwe Newton who will play Ginger, Zachary Levi playing Rocky, Bella Ramsey playing Molly and more. Take a look at the full cast below:

We loved Robin Robin which was created by Aardman last year and released at Christmas and can’t wait to watch this brand new sequel!
