Mince Pie Winner: ASDA Extra Special 4 Extra Indulgent Mince Pies, £2.50 – BUY HERE
Our best mince pies got the whole office talking about the taste that reminds you exactly of Christmas! We really enjoyed these, they were packed full of mincemeat which had lots of flavour throughout and could taste the hints of zesty orange which meant this was not overly sweet and was infused with both brandy and port to give an extra layer of flavour. The all-butter pastry just melted in your mouth and was absolutely delicious.

Christmas Pudding Winner: Sainsbury’s Caramelised Biscuit Christmas Pudding, Taste the Difference 700g, £12 – BUY HERE
A Christmas pudding should have the right amount of alcohol, nuts, fruit and sweetness and Sainsbury’s has delivered. A light textured Christmas pudding with vine fruit, spiced biscuit crumb and brandy. Our team absolutely loved this Christmas pudding, it had everything we would want, and it was packed full of fruit with cinnamon throughout which made it so festive. The team really liked the spiced biscuit crumb and brandy as this gave a delicious taste and the added sachet of caramelised biscuit sauce to pour over the top gave this an indulgent feel but it was not too heavy.

Centrepiece Dessert Winner: Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference Festive Belgian Chocolate & Clementine Yule Log, £10 – BUY HERE
The winner of our Christmas dessert goes to this showstopper which we could have eaten all day long. Packed full of flavour, this yule log, dare we say was moist, rich and melted in our mouths. Although covered in rich Belgian chocolate it was well balanced with the zesty clementine curd. The sponge was soft and not dry, as for the frosting we could have eaten tubs of this alone! If you’re looking to impress guests this Christmas you need to have this centre stage of your dining table.

Cheese Winner: Asda Extra Special Queso de Oveja con Ajo Negro, serves 5, £4 BUY HERE
The first-place winner of our cheese category goes to this beauty from Asda Extra Special cheese collection, we felt not only did it look super impressive with the black garlic veins running through the whole cheese but it tasted spectacular. It had a sweet and fruity taste but the black garlic gave a good strong flavour too, a very soft and dense texture this clung to our palate nicely. If you’re looking for the cheeseboard show stopper make sure this is on your shopping list this Christmas.
