Heatwave? Nope – we’re dreaming of sleigh bells and Santa’s Grotto! 🎅 From sipping hot chocolate to festive fun with the whole family, we can’t wait for the seasons to change.

And it seems as though we’re not the only ones, as Christmas events up and down the UK are already being announced.

So far, Hamleys has announced the return of its magical festive bus and in-store experiences (yes, it’s as amazing as it sounds!), and now Dobbies’ Garden Centre has unwrapped its plethora of events for the festive season.

From a free-to-attend Santa Arrival to the hugely popular Santa’s Grotto, 2025 is set to have all the sleigh bells ringing.

Santa’s Arrival

Kick off the festive season in style! Join the fun at all Dobbies stores on Sunday 23 Nov for Santa’s Arrival – with stories, live music & Christmas cheer!

Santa’s Grotto

Santa’s Grotto is back—now with a magical North Pole adventure! Kids can explore an icy world, play polar games, enjoy festive fun, and meet Santa for a special gift. Running 23 Nov–24 Dec in 43 Dobbies stores, from just £14 per child. Plus, a Quiet Grotto session on 5 Dec offers a calm, inclusive experience for children with additional needs.

🐾 Santa Paws – A Festive Treat for Your Dog

Bring your pup for festive fun, a visit with Santa, a sniff-ari game, and a tail-wagging gift. Due to huge demand, Dobbies has doubled booking slots! Running 23 Nov–24 Dec in UK stores, £12.50 per dog.

Santa’s Breakfast – A Magical Morning for Families

Enjoy a festive morning with Santa and his elves! Kids get breakfast, play games, and make a winter toy to take home. Starts 29 Nov–24 Dec in 50 stores. From £18 per child, £9 per adult.

Christmas Shopping Night – Shop, Sip & Soak Up the Magic

Join Dobbies’ festive shopping night on Thurs, 27 Nov in 53 stores. Expect live music, grotto previews, and what’s more, it’s pay what you can (Pay what you can: £1, £2.50 or £5) with all proceeds going to the charity Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Festive Wreath Making & Afternoon Tea Experience

New for 2025! Craft your own wreath with Dobbies’ experts and enjoy a luxury festive afternoon tea. Held 29–30 Nov in 50 stores. £55 per person – perfect for a seasonal treat or gift!
