Mandy said: “I really do enjoy doing my hair and styling how I want but I’ve never found a styler that would do this for my hair when I’m travelling or away, so I was keen to review the new GHD Unplugged Styler. When I first looked at the box I really liked how sleek and modern it was and in the top corner, there was a little notice to say that £10 from every purchase of the GHD Unplugged Limited Edition Pink Peach Cordless goes to Breast Cancer Now which was a great way to give back.
Next, I took the GHDs out of the box and they were just stunning, the colour was beautiful it is a light pink peach and had hints of metallic through and comes with its own carry case which is in the same colour. There is also a charger which when you need to charge the styler, you simply put into the plug and leave to charge.
When I first used the GHD Unplugged I charged it up for the recommended time which for the first time is 120 minutes, this might seem like quite a while but it does last a while. Once it was fully charged, I was excited to try the styler, it was light to hold and without the cord, it made it so much easier as I could do my hair wherever I wanted. This GHD cordless styler has Dual-zone technology so that the optimum styling temperature of 185oC was kept throughout and the plates were ceramic-coated so there were no small bits of my hair getting pulled.
I tried straightening my hair first and I have to say I was impressed with the results, my hair straightened perfectly and looked really shiny once it was done. I then tried doing some curls and again, these GHD Unplugged Styler glided through my hair with ease and gave the perfect curl. I would say the styler lasted around 20-25 minutes and there was also the automatic sleep mode which switches off the GHD after 3 minutes of inactivity which is a great way to save the battery.
Overall, I was very impressed with the new GHD Unplugged On The Go Cordless Styler, I loved the look and the way it styled my hair just as good as if this was corded. I liked how easy it was to charge these up and the usage time was great, I will most definitely be taking these whenever I’m on the go.”
