TGI Fridays unveils a feast-worthy celebration with its enchanting Christmas menu with delicious burgers, sizzler plates to festive holiday cocktails. We were kindly gifted a visit to try the new delicious menu.
We headed to TGI Fridays in Edinburgh which was decorated with a lovely Christmas tree, and tinsel, and had fun party hats for everyone to wear. We ordered a starter, a main, a dessert, and a drink each and we have to say that the staff were lovely, polite, and very accommodating to everyone. We didn’t have to wait long wait times between courses and everyone was in the festive spirit.
TGI Fridays: BROWSE CHRISTMAS MENU
To begin with, we each had a starter trying the Mozzarella Dippers which had 4 large sized dippers with marinara sauce, BBQ Houmous Nachos, Fridays™ Sesame Chicken Strips, and Fridays™ Sesame Meatless Strips. We were all impressed with the Dippers which were in a crispy breadcrumb and had a generous amount of mozzarella. The BBQ Houmous Nachos were delicious and were a really good portion size, the BBQ had a nice smoky flavour to it and there was plenty of houmous and the Applewood Vegan cheese with the guacamole and salsa was the perfect combination. The star of the starters for us was the Fridays™ Sesame Meatless Strips, these were so tasty with their Legendary Glaze and sesame seeds and again the portion size was great, these were definitely oh-so-moreish!
Up next was the Mains, there was plenty of option to choose from so we tried a few different things. The Fridays™ Festive Burger with beef or chicken, Halloumi & Mushroom Burger, Cajun Chicken Pasta, and the Meatless Chicken Fajitas. First up, the Fridays™ Festive Burger was tried with both beef and chicken and the team absolutely loved the burger as it was packed with bacon, parsnip crisps, Monterey Jack cheese and even had Sage and Onion stuffing for an extra festive addition, the burger was delicious, well cooked and even had our team saying they would make another visit just for that burger! The Cajun Chicken Pasta was done with penne pasta was creamy, not overly spicy, and had the perfect amount of peppers and tomato.
Up next was the Meatless Chicken Fajitas which came with four medium-sized wraps which were soft and light, and a very generous amount of Meatless Chicken, this came on its own sizzler plate and had a smoky, had a good warmth and was loaded with peppers, onions, and mushrooms – absolutely perfect!
Finishing off the meal were four different sweets to pick from including Fresh Fruit & Orange Sorbet Sundae which after the starters and the mains was refreshing, cooling and had strawberries, oranges, and berries throughout – perfect for after any dinner. The Festive Pudding Sundae was the highlight of the desserts as it was the ultimate Christmas dessert with Christmas pudding which was rich, packed full of fruits, and zesty flavours, and was served with custard, vanilla ice cream, cherry compote which wasn’t sour but did balance out the richness of the Christmas pudding and also had a toasted marshmallow, our team felt this was the perfect pudding to have to start the Christmas season!
Finally, we had a tasty cocktail each, again there were four to choose from, three of which had alcohol and one didn’t which was called the Raspberry Refresher and was not overly sweet as this had raspberry, mint, lime, and a little elderflower and lemonade. Next up was the Lynchburg Lemonade, this drink had Jack Daniels, Cointreau, lemon, and lime which was a great combination, and again each of the drinks had a generous amount. The standout cocktail however had to be the Baileys Chocolate Martini, it was everything you would want in a festive drink as it was made with Baileys, Vodka and cream which was all shaken and then put into a martini glass which had a chocolate rim and crumbled flake over the top, to taste it was chocolately, the cream and baileys were simple delicious and honestly, the whole team enjoyed these!
Overall, TGI Friday’s Christmas Menu is one to try, there is plenty of options for those who eat meat and for those who do not, there portions were great and the food and drinks were oh so good – the perfect way to start the Christmas season and we will definitley be back!
