M&S Food is back with its 2025 Christmas advert, and yes—the Fairy has returned! This year, she sprinkles a bit of festive magic into the most relatable moment of Christmas: the Christmas Eve traffic jam, we can hear the sighs now! Dawn French hosts a merry M&S truck party, with a special cameo from Chef Tom Kerridge, all set to Chris Rea’s classic Driving Home for Christmas.

After first charming us in 2021, Fairy is back, bringing the same playful magic that made M&S ads top the charts. Building on past favourites but keeping things fresh, funny, and full of festive surprises, 2025’s ad promises the perfect mix of humour, food, and holiday cheer.

‘Twas the night before Christmas, when brake lights twinkled like fairy lights along the road. Radios hummed with festive tunes as drivers dreamed of finally getting home for Christmas.

Amid the sea of cars sits Dawn French in her red Mini, patience wearing thin. But with a sparkle and a sigh, her trusty Fairy appears, wand at the ready. One wave, and the M&S Food truck ahead bursts into life, its interior transformed into a glittering Christmas party on wheels.

As Chris Rea’s Driving Home for Christmas fills the air, the whole traffic jam comes alive, car doors swing open, lights flash, and the festive fun begins. Fairy’s magic turns a standstill into the ultimate celebration of togetherness.
