Aldi ‘A Christmas Carrot’ Christmas advert 2021 has dropped

Aldi has released its FULL 2021 Christmas advert – ‘A Christmas Carrot’ featuring Kevin, Marcus Radishford and none other than miserable Ebanana Scrooge. Watch here!

Last year, we saw Kevin receive help from Harry the hedgehog to do anything he could to get back home to spend Christmas with his family, but this year, it looks as though Kevin is the one helping as he tries to remind a Christmas loathing Ebanana Scrooge, the joys of the festive season.

The animated Dickensian-style take on A Christmas Carol (‘A Christmas Carrot by Charles Chickens’!) introduces us to a medley of fruit and vegetable characters – including Marcus Radishford, which is voiced by the England striker, Marcus Rashford, as well as Tiny Tom, Peas and Goodwill and Kevin’s Dickensian family.

Throughout the advert, Jim Broadbent narrates the yuletide classic whilst Fairytale of New York is being played in the background.

As we watch the Spirit of Christmas (Kevin the Carrot) show Ebanana Scrooge an array of Aldi’s festive goodies and the fun everyone is having. Ebanana is soon given food for thought.

Learning of his miserable ways he finally embraces the true meaning of Christmas – for you to be happy, you need to be kind.

The Xmas campaign and ad will see England footballer Marcus Rashford MBE joining forces with supermarket giant Aldi which will see 1.8 million meals donated to families that need help across the UK over the festive period.

Marcus Rashford MBE, said: “As a family, we relied on the local food bank to get our Christmas dinner. To this day, I remember queuing outside that building with mum; mum feeling embarrassed that she might be recognised. It is with that in mind that I’m delighted to lend my support to the Aldi campaign.

“For many children in situations like mine growing up, there is very little expectation around this time of year; add the impact of the pandemic and the very least they deserve is a Christmas dinner.”
