Firstly let’s begin with the packaging, from the outside the box clearly shows exactly what the product is and looks like, plus it has all the key features of the PIXI Smart Drinking Fountain placed around the box.

On opening, you have no worries about the fountain being damaged or scratched as it has been securely encased, bonus who wants scratches all over your, no sorry, we mean your cat’s new toy especially as your going to want to show this off to all other cat parents.

Moving on to assembling the PIXI fountain, which was really easy to do, but first, we gave everything a quick wipe down once that was done, simply pop the USB cable through the fountain, leaving enough cable to plug in, then attach the pump to the fountain via the silicone tube, lower the filter tray down and secure the USB cable, then all that’s left is inserting the filter cartridge, place the top on, pop in the spout and fill halfway with water.

Once you’ve positioned the water fountain (near a plug) fill until the little heart-shaped nose has filled. What we love most about the PIXI smart water fountain is that it can kill 99% of bacteria and viruses and with a triple-action filter we know that your cat will have the cleanest water around.

With the free app, you can also care for your cat anytime anywhere – great when the busy festive period begins when your mind is filled with – “Who have I forgotten to buy for?”…

The App lets you know all kinds of important notifications including when the reservoir is nearly empty and when the filter needs replacing and you can even get the app to start the cleaning process – no more time wasted when you could be making your next batch of mince pies.

Now, PIXI’s nose isn’t just to make the water fountain look cute (it does anyway) but it will also change colours to let you know what is happening.

When PIXI’s nose turns white -it’s night, blue for cleaning and red to let you know it’s time to refill. The white light at night is to show your feline where their water bowl is – it really is that cleaver and what was even more surprising was that when PIXI was on the pump was extremly quiet.
