Aldi Christmas advert 2020 – Kevin the Carrot is saved

Aldi has released its FULL 2020 Christmas advert which sees Kevin the Carrot receive help from Harry the hedgehog and Santa himself. Watch it here!

As we saw in Aldi’s mini ‘Top Gun’ inspired clip, which saw Kevin the Carrot left adrift and the whole nation wondering #WhereIsKevin? well, now we finally know as Aldi has launched the full 2020 Christmas advert.

Determined to be reunited with his loved ones no matter what, the 1 minute and 30-second advert show Kevin bumping into a few friendly friends who all help him get out of his snowy spot, including our favourite character hedgehog, Harry, who gives him a lift.

Riding through the night as fast as they can, Kevin’s hope of making it home to his family seems to be fading fast but then who should appear but Santa (played by Jim Broadbent) himself who of course helps to save the day!

Jim Broadbent commented that he was delighted to be involved with the advert yet again: “It is my great pleasure to step into Father Christmas’ shoes and bring the festive spirit to life for Aldi with my co-star Kevin the Carrot. I hope this campaign brings a little joy and magic to everyone this Christmas.”

After premiering on YouTube today, you can also see the advert at 19.45 on ITV where it will make its terrestrial TV debut.
