Doctor Who fans will be excited to know that the action-packed show will return in November 2023 with three specials. Watch the FULL trailer below:
With David Tennant back as the Doctor, the three specials will air in November before Ncuti Gatwa takes control of the TARDIS over the festive season.
UPDATE: Speaking at the time David Tennant and Catherine Tate’s return as the Doctor and Donna was announced, showrunner Russell T Davies teased: “Maybe this is a missing story. Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback. The only thing I can confirm is that it’s going to be spectacular, as two of our greatest stars reunite for the battle of a lifetime.”
Just before the Eurovision Song Contest Grand Final, viewers were treated to out of this world exclusive trailer which gave viewers an exciting glimpse of what to expect later this year when the TARDIS lands in time to celebrate its 60th anniversary, and it exclusively revealed the titles of the three special episodes.

It was previously announced Catherine Tate Yasmin Finney and Neil Patrick Harris will return in their roles as well as Jaqueline King who will reprise her role as Donna’s mother Sylvia and Karl Collins as Donna’s long-suffering husband, Shaun.
The show will also welcome Ruth Madeley who will be appearing as Shirley Anne Bingham.
The three specials are set to be explosive as the sixty-second trailer shows glimpses of monsters and the return of UNIT.

The three specials in November will coincide with the 60th anniversary, with David Tennant as the Fourteenth Doctor. Ncuti Gatwa takes over as the Fifteen Doctor alongside Millie Gibson who will play Ruby Sunday over the festive season. Jodie Whittaker was the previous Doctor Who who starred in previous festive editions of the show including the Revolution Of The Daleks.
