WINNER: Tesco Candy Cane Celebration Cake £14 – BUY HERE
Tesco’s Candy Cane Celebration Cake is our winner! This beautiful cake was decorated with Christmas trees, cane canes, and sprinkles, and would look oh so festive as any Christmas centerpiece. With three layers of vanilla sponge, filled with vanilla frosting and raspberry jam, this cake was the perfect balance between sweet and raspberry jam gave a nice counterbalance – just everything you would want in a cake for Christmas.
Iceland Luxury Ultimate Macaron Topped Pavlova Wreath – BUY HERE
Iceland’s Luxury Ultimate Macaron Topped Pavlova Wreath was our second place. A baked meringue wreath which is chantily cream and raspberry sauce was topped with blackcurrant and vanilla macarons with white chocolate shavings. This was the perfect alternative to any cake, it was sweet and looked lovely and the macarons had the perfect crunch with a chewy middle.
Tesco Finest Chocolate Yule Log £6.50 – BUY HERE
In third place is Tesco’s Finest Yule Log. The Yule log looked very festive and even had white icing dust to look at snow. To taste, this was very chocolatey and had chocolate buttercream throughout and a small piece was more than enough as it was rich and indulgent. The only thing that we found was it was a little bit messy to eat but would still look great on your Christmas table.
Iceland Luxury 675g Snowman Dessert – BUY HERE
A melt-in-the-middle Snowman Dessert which is toffee pudding and has a caramel sauce, all coated in white chocolate and white chocolate shapes. We loved the fun snowman design and loved the melt in the middle element. The taste was very tasty and the caramel sauce added even more decadence to the dessert however it did take a little bit of time to get to the sauce part of this.
