Hungry McBear Media and BBC One have announced that Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel will return for a second series, but will we get another Christmas special?
Last year, The Wheel had a Christmas special and included celebrities such as Holly Willoughby, Alan Carr and Oti Mabuse, try to answer questions to raise money for their charities. Other celebrities including Howard Donald, Kate Bottley and Christopher Biggins were all on hand to help them win big.
There has been no confirmation that another Christmas special will go ahead, however we do have our fingers crossed that this will be announced later on this year. Keep checking this page for any updates.
On returning for a second series, Michael McIntyre says: “I am thrilled by the success of The Wheel. The series was so much fun to host and I love how the gameplay in every show was so different but always entertaining and suspenseful. And having socially distanced strangers sing ‘The Wheel’ to me on my daily walk has been the unexpected pleasure of lockdown!”
Last year’s series was the first season of The Wheel and was hugely successful.
