UKTV - Sister Boniface Mysteries 2024 Christmas

Christmas special announcements are revving up, so far Gavin & Stacey, Call The Midwife, Outnumbered and Beyond Paradise have all confirmed Christmas specials and the excitement doesn’t stop here.

The hugely popular UKTV show, Sister Boniface Mysteries is back filming for its fourth series. Fans will be excited to hear that another feature-length Christmas special will air this December.

This festive season will see returning favourites Lorna Watson, DI Sam Gillespie, Jerry Iwu and Ami Metcalf being joined by guest stars including Les Dennis and Daniel Laurie (to name just a few) as they take on one of the biggest challenges yet.

The Great Slaughter Amateur Dramatics Society (GSADS) pantomime is here, and this year the pressure is on for the celebrity director to deliver the show, Cinderella as the best yet but soon cast members start dropping like flies.

Can Sister Boniface catch the killer before they strike again? Will GSADS give the public the festive theatrical treat they deserve? And, most importantly, can Sam and Felix pull off a polka in a pantomime horse?

Lorna Watson says: “It’s brilliant to be back with the gang for series four. I feel very lucky to be part of such a lovely show and can’t wait to get cracking, solving crime in the Cotswolds sunshine.”

Emma Ayech, Channel Director for Drama, UKTV says: “I’m delighted that Sister Boniface Mysteries is back for another series and a second Christmas special. As one of UKTV’s top-performing titles, its first Christmas special was a huge hit with our audience, and series three, which returned earlier this month to Drama & UKTV Play, continues to captivate viewers. Get ready for more sleuthing fun with our favourite nun – there’s never a dull moment in Great Slaughter!”

We can’t wait for Christmas TV to begin!
