Upstart Crow Christmas Special 2017 Revealed For BBC Two

Ben Elton’s comedy sitcom, Upstart Crow will return for a second series including a star studded Christmas special for 2017.

The new series will follow the quest of William Shakespeare (David Mitchell) to make it as a playwright in London whilst juggling family life in Stratford-Upon-Avon and now new details have have also emerged about this years Xmas special.

The Christmas special will see world famous actress Emma Thompson, best known to us festive fanatics as Karen from Love Actually join the cast, Thompson will take on the role of Queen Elizabeth I who summons Will to present a special performance on the twelfth night, working title Eighth Night.

Even though dates, times and episode details for the Christmas special have not yet been released you can expect humor, pies, ale and plenty of dress up.

The new series will begin on BBC Two later this year.
