When VTech announced the release of the Innotab in 2011 the UK went crazy for this educational toy. It sold out literally everywhere, stock levels was being updated every few minutes as parents wanted their kids to have one of these electronic tablets. This year there is a new Innotab on the market, that’s right Vtech have announced the release of the Innotab 2!

So what’s so different about this tablet to the original?

• 1.3 mega pixel built-in camera
• Self portrait lens – kids can now take a picture of themselves
• Use the editing software and add special effects
• The image can even be used in a range of different games – this is a feature which has been seen on the Kidizoom Camera
• Built-in microphone

This vtech toy will still feature all of the other original aspects which made it so popular in the first place. The 5 inch screen, educational features was  released in August 2012, and has been a huge success.

The electronic table also has educational games, fun activities and e-books, Children can develop their core skills in reading, spelling, maths, logic and creativity with many of the included activities. There is also a rotating self-portrait camera and microphone for better  game play. Plus not only can VTech Innotab 2 do all of this, parents can even go and download additional games and learning apps from their computer via the VTech Learning Lodge Navigator site. (Please note that an SD card is required for downloads, which is not included).

Kids can have hours of fun with the touch screen and tilt-sensor. They can control how they play and develop the skills of using touch applications which includes tap, flick, pat and drag-and-drop so they can have the same technology and fun that parents have on their tablets with their touch screen tablets. With the tilt-sensor, kids can control on-screen fun by turning, tilting and moving the tablet in different directions to manipulate the image on-screen.

Children can also bring out their creative side with this educational tablet with an Art Studio which offers painting and drawing applications they can use with their finger or the stylus which is included. Plus it also provides a Photo Viewer/Editor.  This is suitable for ages 4 years and up and requires 2 x AA batteries (included in the box).
