Libretto’s Christian Lacroix advent calendar is not your typical cartoon Santa Claus with a piece of melted chocolate inside – it is so much more, so when one popped though to our office, Holly decided to find out what all the fuss is about.

First off Holly said she felt as though she looking at a piece of art and was surprised to find out that it was actually a pop-up advent calendar which expanded into a 4′ tableau. The deisgn on the front will make you feel as though you’ve stepped into an Alice in Wonderland moment as it is full of colourful wildlife, flowers and Zebra Girl. Inside four characters make up the main centre piece – Zebra Girl, Shaman, Jungle Leo and Wild Bird and as you peel back each day another scene full of character will stand up to give a 3d effect across the full four pages!

The hard cover calendar arrives concealed in a clear bag with a gold foil band with hot-stamped Christian Lacroix Paris logo on the front – so everyone who sees it know just how luxurious it is.

Overall Holly felt as though not only would she be delighted to receive this as a gift but would definitely buy one for friends or family – if she could pry her hands off of it.
