Light up your life one needle at a time as we review Homebase 7ft Danube Premium Pre-lit Artificial Christmas Tree and baubles and they’re tree-mendous!
Homebase kindly sent us this tree and baubles for review however all opinions are our own, here we share our thoughts…

Christmas has officially arrived and we feel it’s time to get our tinsel-tastic decoration’s up, and that can only begin with the main focal point in the room – the Christmas Tree, so when Homebase sent us its 7ft Danube Premium Pre-lit Artificial Christmas Tree we were super excited to see how this bad boy would look.
Before we assemble, here are the fun facts you need to know. The Danube tree measures 7ft, comes pre-lit with 400 warm white lights in 8 functions, a classic full shape with glitter tips and pinecones and of course its metal stand.
Now we’ve covered the specifications, it’s time to bang on the festive tunes and get stuck straight in. Let’s begin with the packaging, arriving in a sturdy cardboard box with a lovely festive pattern on the front and a handy plastic carry handle, the Christmas tree was snuggled in tightly with no wriggle room, which we thought was great as it meant no damage to branches or cables.
If you want, you could keep the box and store away other ornaments or homeware products that you may not need over the festive period.
Lifting out in three easy parts, assembling was a breeze, however, this was a two-person job for us and it did take us a “few” minutes to locate the light fittings in between scoffing a mince pie or two…
After connecting each of the three connectors, we did notice that the floor looks like a glitter explosion had happened so have your hoover at hand for when you finish, however much to our surprise no needles came off the tree.
Once positioned, we opened up the branches which were thick and bushy, and really did give off a natural look. The pinecones are evenly spread throughout the tree and their glitter tips really do sparkle.
Once all the branches were opened we plugged the tree in to get the full effect and what a magical effect it had. The warm white lights glowed bright and what we loved most was the number of lights was just perfect, let’s face it you can never have too many on your tree.
Now it was time to bauble up! Because the Danube Pre-lit Artificial Christmas Tree is thick, bushy and dense, it made this one of the easiest trees to decorate. Using Homebase Deco Luxe’s range of shatterproof baubles which come in large and small sizes we packed the tree.
The baubles themselves look rich in colour and felt sturdy, our only gripe was we had to hand tie the string to each of the baubles, however, it gets done quickly when you bribe the office with mulled wine to help!
The main question is would our team recommend Homebase’s 7ft Danube Premium Pre-lit Artificial Christmas Tree and baubles to Santa himself? – Without a doubt yes!
