John Lewis showcases new Christmas advert #TraditionsGrow

John Lewis has officially revealed this year’s Christmas advert with a 10-second teaser with the full advert set to drop on Thursday 9th November. Watch the advert here:

So what can we expect from this year’s John Lewis & Partners Christmas advert? The 10-second teaser sees a young boy browsing the stalls at a vintage market where he comes across a retro-style box withy’Grow Your Onw Perfect Christmas Tree’. The young boy then turns to and says ‘Gran, can I have this?’. Back at home, the young boy then opens the box to reveal a seed that is labeled ‘fast-growing’.

John Lewis & Partners have also announced the full advert will be released on Thursday 9th November with the hashtag #TraditionsGrow

Last year’s festive advert was released on November 10th raising the awareness of children in care and demonstrating the power of kindness making this year even earlier. John Lewis and Partners also revealed their top 10 toys for Christmas including nostalgic favourites from the 90s rule. We have also predicted what we think the full advert which we think will all be about how your Christmas traditions have grown over the years.

This is the latest advert to be revealed following in the footsteps of Asda with Michael Bublé who is this year’s Chief Quality Officer, Lidl with a reminder of the huge impact that small acts of kindness can have during the festive season, Aldi bringing back everyone’s favourite vegetable, Kevin the Carrot accompanied by Grate Grandpa as they pay a visit to the festive goodie-filled factory, Sainsbury’s starring Rick Astley and Sainsbury’s colleagues all giving what they believe Santa Claus will be eating for his Christmas dinner and many more.
