Waitrose Christmas 2024 Advert – Watch Below:
Joining some of the UK’s biggest brands, including Sainsbury’s, Asda, and Aldi, Waitrose is next to unveil its Christmas advert. However, there’s a slight twist.
For the first time, the UK supermarket is serving up a two-part festive ‘Whodunnit’! The first thrilling instalment has already dropped, with the suspenseful conclusion arriving in just a few weeks.
Part one includes a massive celebrity line-up with Matthew Macfadyen of “Succession”, comedian Joe Wilkinson from “Afterlife”, Rakhee Thakrar of “Sex Education”, Sian Clifford from “Fleabag”, Dustin Demri-Burns of “Slow Horses” and Eryl Maynard of “Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple” and directed by Lucy Forbes whose recent work includes “Eric” and “This is Going to Hurt.”
The Sweet Suspicion Advert sees a family of food lovers preps for the big day, only to find their prized No.1 Waitrose Red Velvet Bauble Dessert has gone missing! Enter our detective, played by Matthew Macfadyen, on a mission to crack the case. Could it be the fed-up hostess, Samira, or perhaps a cheeky Grandma tired of holiday fuss?
Waitrose spices it up with a “food star” cast featuring Reuben Rarebit, Brown Butter Mince Pies with Cognac, and a Treacle Glazed Turkey Crown. The mystery unfolds over two parts, with the final reveal in a few weeks.
Matthew Macfadyen, The Detective, says: “I wonder if my extensive repertoire of past Detective roles led to me to this very moment – starring in this wonderful Waitrose whodunnit. Working with such a great cast on such a fun project for Christmas was such a joy. I think together, we have created a story that will have the public speculating over who the pud thief really is!”
We can’t wait to see part 2!
