This year, Warwick Castle is offering visitors more entertainment than ever before with spectacular shows for the whole family.

Flying into the April school holidays, the Castle’s brand-new show he Falconer’s Quest builds upon the Castle’s popular Birds of Prey show and will be the biggest of avian adventure in the UK.

After firing up the crowds with its debut season last year, the dramatic Dragon Slayer is also back for a scorching summer of evening shows. The tale of local Midlands hero Guy of Warwick, Dragon Slayer will once again see the scaly creature light up the Castle, with even more pyrotechnics and light displays.

Built over 1,100 years ago, visitors can now roam throughout Warwick Castle’s grounds, stately rooms and even the old gaol to gain an exciting insight into what life was like at the site through the ages.

Spend the day exploring the medieval towers and ramparts; test your bravery in the spooky Castle Dungeon (additional charge applies) or weave your way through the Horrible Histories Maze. Explore The Kingmaker where the sights, sounds and smells of Medieval England are brought to life in a walk through journey of the life of Richard Neville, the man who helped make or break royal connections, earning him the moniker of ‘The Kingmaker’.

Free tours led by the expert History Team will let you in on all the Castle’s secrets, introducing you to the different periods at the Castle and some of its key inhabitants such as Daisy Greville, whose glamourous events hosted at the Castle were infamous and are today recalled in the Royal Weekend Party exhibition.

Guests can also marvel at the twice-daily Winter Birds of Prey Show as the Castle’s magnificent creatures swoop low over the ramparts, as well as the mighty trebuchet firing alongside the River Thames.

With so much to do at the Castle, make a ‘knight’ of your stay with a short break in the Knight’s Village. Select from a chalet-style Lodge (available year-round) or glamping in the summer for a memorable medieval holiday. All short breaks include an overnight stay, two days’ entrance to the Castle, car parking and a hearty breakfast.

Warwick Castle Terms and Conditions

Competition prize consists of one family day pass ticket for entry to Warwick Castle for a maximum of four people, valid for use by 1 August 2019.

The Family Day pass ticket includes entrance to Castle Selected additional such as the Castle Dungeon, car parking, and food and drinks are not included and are available for purchase at the Castle. Travel to/from Warwick Castle is not included.
