Torvil and Dean, Mark Wright, Ryan Thomas and Kimberley Wyatt are just a few of the well known celebrities who took part in Ninja Warrior UK Christmas special to help raise money for ITV Text Santa.The show which is hosted by presenter Ben Shephard, The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes and football pundit Chris Kamara will see well known celebrities showing off their sporting abilities by taking on the Ninja Warrior UK tasks – and yes they will have to run up the 70ft free-standing rope!
The show will air as part of the Text Santa telethon, which supports UK charities over during the festive period. Also confirmed are Benidorm Xmas special and Emmerdale cycling event for ITV’s Text Santa show.
Celebrity contestants seen turning up at Manchester Central in front of a live audience were – The Only Way is Essex star Mark Wright, Ryan Thomas, who plays Weatherfield favourite Jason Grimshaw, celebrity Masterchef winner Kimberley Wyatt, Corrie stars Catherine Tyldesley, Emmerdale actress Gemma Atkinson, Olympic ice skating legends Torvill and Dean, former Brookside actor Philip Olivier, athlete Louise Hazel, former England international rugby player Ugo Monye and retired boxer Carl Froch.
