Brits Expected To Spend Almost £25 BILLION this Christmas

We all indulge a little over Christmas, particularly financially where we spend copious amounts of money buying the perfect Christmas Gifts and making our homes look every inch the winter wonderland. New figures suggest that us Brits are expected to spend almost £25 BILLION this Christmas.

We know that sometimes, we like to buy the nice handwash, mince pies and drinks that we wouldn’t normally buy throughout the rest of the year to make us feel indulged over the festive season, but £2 billion is a LOT of Mince Pies.

On average, people are expected to spend about £489 with 25-34 year olds spending the most. It is also expected that 45% of sales will be made online.

Radium One’s European MD Rupert Staines said:

“Christmas is, by far, the biggest sharing event of the year and it’s fascinating to see how influential technology now is, with its multiple devices, in the whole of the Christmas decision-making process. With the UK population being the most sophisticated e-shoppers in the world, it’s absolutely critical for brands and retailers to better understand these consumer connections and their fast-evolving relationship with technology to ensure their advertising delivers the ideal Christmas sales boost.”
