These bronze and black overhead headphones have a number of features, including:

  • robust design, encompassing real steel, copper plated extenders with a light, flexible and comfortable headband.
  • Minimum feedback lucid chat
  • 40mm high impact drivers
  • Robust build quality
  • Alacantra cushioning
  • Discreet inline microphone
  • Suitable for Xbox One, Xbox One X, PS4, PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro & Mobile

UTCT’s very own self confessed gaming addict, John, tested these out and shares his thoughts:

“First of all, the design of these is incredibly sleek and classic with a black matte and bronze finish. Although these are overhead, they’re not hugely bulky making them easily stored.  In terms of comfort, these have what I would describe as a soft pillow type feel. I used these for a good couple of hours and must say my ears didn’t feel sore or uncomfortable at the end of using them.

In terms of performance, I was looking forward to putting these through their paces. I used the TX 40 gaming headset for the Xbox One and played a multitude of games – from football, to car racing and my favourite, combat. I was listening out for background noise, how the sounds balanced out between the two ears and how ‘bright’ the sound was.

I have used very expensive headsets and really was convinced that they performed best but I must admit the TX 40 headset performed brilliantly at just £20. I could clearly hear ‘small’ things like footsteps, reloading effects and voices. I could easily hear the other players and the music didn’t sound ‘tinny’ at all.

Overall, I’m really impressed with these and I’m pretty sure they’ll be making their way onto Christmas wishlists for 2018.”
