Christmas Gift Review 2018: Playmobil Advent Calendar 9264

The Playmobil Christmas Santa Advent Calendar 9264 contains 106 pieces and is suitable for ages 4 – 10 and is a great way to engage your child in the countdown to Christmas. We were kindly sent this to review, here’s our thoughts:

With 24 boxes to open (1 each day from 1st – 24th December), this is a great way to get your child into the Christmas spirit. As each day comes around a box on the calendar can be opened to find a festive piece of Playmobil inside, much more interesting than the usual small piece of chocolate!

Also included in this play set is a cardboard play scene which shows Santa’s workshop and the reindeer patiently waiting in their cosy barn, ready to take Santa around the world to deliver toys. Once I had folded this into place, the cardboard play scene became the perfect way to show off each individual item and I really liked the fact that the cardboard didn’t just fold in half or fall over, it was fairly sturdy.

As the 24 boxes continue to be opened the play scene creates a magical Christmas scene showing Santa and his elves loading the sleigh with toys, ready to be pulled by his trusty reindeer.

Finally, as the 24th door is opened, there’s only one more sleep to go until Santa comes down the chimney with his sack bursting full of toys for all good girls and boys.”

This fantastic advent calendar is not only a great way to get children into the Christmas spirit it will also make a brilliant addition to any Playmobil collection and can be used again and again.
