With the cold nights already drawing in, what better way to prepare for the wintry weather than with a nice cosy hot water bottle? Potwells have released three long hot water bottles in fun animal cuddly designs. We were luckily sent Zavi the Zebra to try out.

We asked Mandy to test this out and share her thoughts. Here’s what she had to say:
“I did ask the boss if it was acceptable to wear PJ’s, watch Netflix and order a takeaway to work like I do at home, to properly ‘test’ this out – I’m sure you can guess what his answer was! Worth a shot though, right?
I was so excited when the Potwells Zavi the Zebra arrived. At 75cm tall, this isn’t far off the same height as a child. Whilst boiling the kettle, I opened the tough velcro fastening to access the opening of the bottle. The opening wasn’t ‘obvious’ which was fantastic, because it means children wouldn’t easily access it.
The screw top fastening on the bottle is really sturdy, I had to use a bit of force to open it which again was a relief knowing little hands couldn’t open it.
Judging by the size of this, I had assumed that I would need to boil the kettle twice as a minimum to fill it, but actually, one kettle full of water was all that was required.
I kept this cuddled into me all day long at work and whilst it began to cool after a few hours, it wasn’t ‘cold’ until after I had finished work (roughly 8 hours).
Do they do these for adults? I’m sold! Potwells – can we suggest a reindeer design next please?”
