Christmas wouldn’t be the same without Christmas Review 2017: Baylis & Harding Christmas Range’s gift sets, so we’ve reviewed some of our favourites from the new range which we were kindly sent, here are our thoughts on these:
When the new Baylis & Harding gift sets arrived in the office we couldn’t wait to try these out as we always love it’s ranges. The first of the gift sets to be tried out was the new Baylis & Harding Men’s Skin Spa which John from our team was more than happy to try out. John said “I’ve always been a fan of the Baylis & Harding mens range and I was really looking forward to trying this 5 piece tin set. Taking a look through there was a 300ml Hair & Body Wash, 150g Soap, 130ml of Shower Gel, and a flannel.
I tried all these products separately, they all had the same kind of smell which was musky with a woodiness to it. Each of the items were great, the body wash and the shower gel were not over powering and left my skin feeling really soft and clean. I used the soap which I just used on my face and it was gentle, didn’t dry out my skin and left my skin feeling soft.”
John also tried the Baylis & Harding Black Pepper and Ginseng gift set, here is his thoughts: “I was already a fan of the black pepper and ginseng scented products from Baylis & Harding and was really pleased to see these in a gift set instead of having to buy these individually. The black pepper and Ginseng has a wood like smell to it and all three of these products which were the after shave balm, hair and body wash and the shower gel were all great to use and were not over-powering in smell. My favourite out of the three however was the body and hair wash as it smelled nice and made my skin feel clean and did not dry out my skin.”
Next up was the Baylis & Harding Jojoba, Silk And Almond Oil Ultimate Unwind Vanity Case which Holly from our team tried out: “When I first saw the Vanity Case I was impressed with the quality of the case and the fact that I could easily store away the products when I wasn’t using them or use the case to travel with. I tried each of the items in the kit which included the Balancing Body Wash 300ml, Shower Creme 300ml and the included nylon puff wash cloth.
The first thing I tried was the shower creme after I had used the nylon puff cloth which was great for exfoliating my skin and I have to say I was really impressed with this. It smelled so nice, the minute I opened the bottle up I could smell the Jojoba and Almond which smelled like a sweet smell from the Almond and a kind of burnt-wood smell that came from the Jojoba which worked really well together. I also tried the Balancing Body Wash and was equally as impressed with this as I was with the shower creme and would definitely use these and recommend these again.”
Holly also tried out the Baylis & Harding Fuzzy Duck Mulberry And Mistletoe Shower Creme, here is what she thought of this: “I was instantly impressed with the bottle, it was a real Christmas red with beautiful writing on the front. It was Mulberry and Mistletoe scented so these were great Christmas themed scents. It smelled of grapes and blackberries which came from the Mulberry but also had hints of a festive pine scent which came from the Mistletoe. The two worked really well together and it was great to use this Shower Creme my skin felt soft as this really put moisture back into my skin.”
Last up was the Baylis & Harding Beauticology Record Store Perfect Partners Gift Set which Mandy from our team tried out here is what she thought: “Firstly I was really impressed with the packaging I thought it was fun and would really appeal to anyone. It was great on my skin and didn’t sit heavy like some others have done in the past and really hydrated my skin.”
