HUmax FVP Boxed

There’s always more than one thing we want to watch, especially at Christmas, but usually they’re on at the same time so we were so happy when Humax released the FVP-5000T Recorder box which means we’ll never miss our favourite TV show again, unless we forget its on!

Holly from our office took a further look and set up:

“When I first took the Humax FVP-5000T 500GB Freeview Recorder out of the box I was impressed with the sleek and elegant design how light it was to lift plus the HUmax really didn’t take up much room at all, unlike many other TV boxes which stick out and look bulky.

Connecting all of the required cables into the back of the box was a breeze, finally I put the power plugin in place and switched on. The remote, (Batteries are included! Hurrah!), has all of the functions that you need on it, such as On/Off, Netflix, On Demand, volume, channel, guide etc, making it so much easier to access your favourite apps in an instant.

Setting the internet up via the FreePlay and following the on-screen instructions was easy to do. I selected my preferred language, did a channel search, sorted out the network connection, accepted the terms and conditions and set my preference in the power saving mode, the setup was then complete.

I couldn’t believe all of the channels and on-demand services the FVP-5000T had to offer, from BBC to the Food Network and of course True Christmas! I could pause, review and record up to four different channels while watching a fifth, so no more missing out on my favourite Christmas films, You simply can’t see enough of Miracle on 34th Street.

I could also browse on my TV Guide and set a ‘record whole series’ so I would never miss an episode of the TV shows that I watch again. Even if I did however, I could use the catch-up service or go On-Demand and watch them there. There was also the FreeviewPlay which allowed me to watch some of my paid for subscriptions such as Netflix and some free ones such as YouTube, UKTV and the ITV Hub.

It was great to play some of my media files which I had on my USB Stick such as: my favourite holiday photo’s, playing music and even playing a video of the Rockefeller Tree Lighting in New York. Seeing it on the bigger screen was brilliant and it was all thanks to the Humax FVP-5000T 500GB FreeviewPlay Recorder.

Overall I was really impressed with large array of features especially the Smart Search function the new Humax Box had to offer and I’ll certainly will be using this to record and watch my favourite, films, TV shows and playing my favourite music.”
