We all love to hang baubles from the Christmas tree but what about baubles that are whisky-filled? All our dreams just came true as the Lakes Distillery showcases it’s new The ONE Whisky Baubles. We were kindly sent a gift set, here’s our thoughts on it:
When these first arrived in the office, we couldn’t help but think what a genius idea this was, baubles and whisky together? Yes please! Elaine from our team was more than happy to review these: “First of all I have to mention the box that these came in, the box had a Christmas tree on the front, and the wording ‘The ONE British Blended Whisky’ on the front of it.
It was finished to a high standard and when I opened the box was instantly greeted with all six of the whisky filled baubles. These were securely packaged but were not too hard to get out of the box. I took these out and unscrewed the lid on one of these baubles and I was instantly hit by the smell of the whisky and I could not wait to try it. So I went and got a glass and poured a small tipple into a glass and tried it.
It tasted amazing, it had notes of roasted-nuts, dried fruits but also had a slightly wood taste to it. It was really smooth to drink and didn’t leave a horrible after taste in my mouth. I actually tried my whisky with some cheddar and a bit of blue cheese with a few crackers and it tasted really nice. I really liked the fact that I could reseal what I didn’t use and the fact that I could put these perhaps on a twig tree for that extra special finishing touch to my decorations.
Overall I was impressed with everything about these The ONE Whisky Bauble Gift Set and would recommend these as a gift or to use for yourself.”
