According to the organisers of Edinburgh’s Christmas we can look forward seeing ‘Auld Reekie’ lit up by more than 60,000 lights and filled with the sound of choirs.

Visitors to the city can enjoy the 16 arches of lights, which stretch from the City Chambers to the Tron Kirk,  measuring up to 19 metres high which will synchronise with recorded music from the Edinburgh Festival Chorus and three other choirs

This amazing light display, which has been sponsored by Virgin Money and Scotland’s Winter Festivals,  will be switched on by Subo – Susan Boyle – at the free event on November 22nd and from 30th November visitors will be able to take in the Street of Light show twice a day – with performances at 6.30pm and 8.15pm – after which the lights will be left on until midnight for Christmas revelers to enjoy a festive wander.
