Footballers From Premier League and German clubs Join Celebs For Christmas Charity Song

Marking the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Truce match in No Man’s Land during World War 1, footballers and celebrities come together to release The Farm’s Altogether Now, will this be our Xmas number one?

Every year the race to hit the number one slot in the UK’s top 40 at Christmas begins and usually it is anyone and everyone versus the XFactor winner.  However this year a new charity single inspired by the unofficial truce on Christmas Day 1914, looks set to score top spot!

The charity single which commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Christmas Truce match in No Man’s Land, when men of the British Expeditionary Force heard the Germans singing carols and patriotic songs, messages then began to be shouted between the two and the following day British and German soldiers met in No Man’s Land and exchanged gifts, took photographs and some played football.

Due for release on December 15th the single will raise money for the British Red Cross and the Shorncliffe Trust.  The Farm’s Altogether Now  track will include singers such as Suggs, Alexandra Burke, Guy Chambers, Gorgon City, Gabrielle, The Proclaimers and many more. Also on the single will be 38 under-12  players from Premier League clubs, 22 schoolboys from Germany were also included on the track.
