If you’re thinking about jetting off during the Winter to one of this year’s magical Christmas markets, then if you are anything like us you’ll want to spend maximum time browsing the shops and not trying to blow dry your hair in the morning with the hotel’s hairdryer, which takes ages.

Plus who really wants their hair looking dry and unstyled when taking those holiday snaps to share with your friends on social?, which is why we have to give major Santa points to ghd’s new flight+ travel hair dryer.

Let’s get into the nitty gritty first, the ghd flight+ is lightweight in fact it’s 5% smaller and 49% lighter than a full-sized dryer, powerful, easy to pack and comes in a stunning black travel case to keep everything safe and neatly packaged away.

As always we like to test the products before recommending them in our Christmas gift guide, so Katy put ghd flight+ to the test.

Turning on is easy, just like most hair dryers, it has a black switch with two different strength modes which you simply push up and down.

Most hairdryers especially travel ones can give you an arm ache when holding (especially if it’s for a long time) but this didn’t and the power in the dryer really did surprise me, especially for how small it looks.

After blow-drying half of my hair, I decided to test the nozzle which was a little hard to put on but this was because it was new it will go one easier next time I use it. The nozzle although taking a little while longer to dry than without it on did give me a really nice fizz-free hair do – which meant no fussing when all you might want to do is get up and go see the Christmas stalls whilst sipping on a hot chocolate.

Once fully cooled, I loved how easy it was to store away, two clips in and the Flight+ folds in half – perfect for having even more space for a few extra bits inside the travel case which btw looks like a mini designer handbag especially as it comes with a shoulder strap!

GHD really have thought of it all when it comes to its travel range, especially this Flight+ dryer.

So if you’re looking for that extra special Christmas present for your loved ones or if you’re heading off for some winter sun and are in need of a hairdryer that is 100% reliable and more to the point and give you salon blow-dry hair every day, then we would recommend ghd flight+ travel hairdryer.
