It’s A Boy!! First and foremost, we here at UnderTheChristmasTree would like to say a huge congratulations to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge on the safe arrival of their new baby boy!.
While the world celebrates the arrival of the new addition to the royal family, Kate remains in hospital with her husband, Prince William, and her newborn baby by her side. It is unknown when Kate will be released from hospital and a name for the new prince has yet to be given and could take upto a month to be confirmed.
All across the globe, people have been celebrating the new arrival, and many people have given statements to congratulate the proud parents. President Obama and his wife Michelle led tributes to the baby saying;-
“We wish them all the happiness and blessings parenthood brings. The child enters the world at a time of promise and opportunity for our two nations. Given the special relationship between us, the American people are pleased to join with the people of the United Kingdom as they celebrate the birth of the young prince.”
Prince William also released a very short statement to the press, simply saying “We could not be happier”.
Prince Charles also released a statement saying “Both my wife and I are overjoyed at the arrival of my first grandchild. It is an incredibly special moment for William and Catherine and we are so thrilled for them on the birth of their baby boy. Grandparenthood is a unique moment in anyone’s life, as countless kind people have told me in recent months, so I am enormously proud and happy to be a grandfather for the first time and we are eagerly looking forward to seeing the baby in the near future.”
