ITV’s ‘Stars in Their Eyes-style singing competition Starstruck starts Saturday but could a Christmas special be on the horizon?
Tonight, Saturday 12th of February at 8.30pm will see the launch of ITV‘s brand new talent show – Starstruck, where teams of superfans transform into their idol before stepping onto the stage to sing one of their biggest hits.
Alongside host Olly Murs, a massive star-studded panel featuring Adam Lambert, Sheridan Smith, Beverley Knight and Jason Manford will decide which favourite team of the night before the voting audience pick just one person to go through to the series final.
Already being compared to the 90s and 00s talent show Stars In Their Eyes who can we expect to see take the stage? it’s likely all of our biggest idols will “make” an appearance including Queen.
However, what we really want to know will a Christmas special of Starstruck air? if we go by previous entertainment shows which are similar, then the simple answer…YES! – we’ve asked ITV to confirm and await their response.
But, speculation only, if a Christmas special does air? who would you want to see be impersonated – Wizzard? – Wham! George Michael? – King of Christmas Cliff Richard? – we’re thinking of a celebrity version with all Christmas crooners.
