The New Year is now is full swing, yeah we’re not happy the festivities have ended either, and new research carried out by Appliances Direct has revealed that Brits are food prepping to help save money after a costly Christmas.

The survey of 1,009 UK adults revealed that more than half (56%) of Brits will prepare their meals for the week ahead in January. What’s more the research also found this will save the nation a hefty £27 a month.

Mark Kelly, marketing manager at AppliancesDirect.co.uk comments: “It’s clear to see that people are making healthier choices as a result of preparing meals in advance, but as the research shows it also helps to save on the amount of food that is thrown out as well as being very cost friendly. There are a number of affordable options out there from juicers, air fryers, food processers and soup makers, so that it is more convenient for Brits to prepare their food ahead of time, so there’s no need to worry about cost after the expense of Christmas.”

Yeah we’re food prepping too – one box a day filled with a different sweet from our Christmas tubs, well it’s the same thing isn’t it?….We’re not sure Joe Wick would think the same!
