We’ve been waiting for more details on the smash-hit Nativity! The Musical, which saw hard man Danny Dyer take part in last years production and now we have them!!

Rylan Clark-Neal has joined the star-studded cast as ‘The Crictic’, alongside Simon Lipkin as ‘Mr Poppy’, when the show returns this Christmas to The Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith for its third year from 11 to 29 December 2019.

Rylan, who is known from coming fifth on ITV’s “X Factor” in 2012 and most recently in Channel 4’s “Celebrity Bake Off” for Stand Up to Cancer (if you didn’t see his ‘poo cake’ then you didn’t miss much!) said:

‘I’m so excited to be joining the company of “Nativity! The Musical”. The Eventim Apollo is such an iconic London venue and I am thrilled that I will be performing to thousands of people as ‘The Critic’ which is such a terrific role. Alan Carr played it in the film and Jo Brand on stage last year, I have big shoes to fill but I can’t wait to get started”.

Written and Directed by Debbie Isitt, viewers can join in with teacher Mr Maddens and his crazy assistant Mr Poppy, as they struggle with hilarious children, and a whole lot of sparkle and shine to make everyone’s Christmas wish of starring in a Nativity come true. Featuring a host of popular sing-a-long songs from the smash-hit films including Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth and One Night One Moment. NATIVITY! THE MUSICAL promises to be the perfect feel-good comedy for all the family.

The show opens at the Wolverhampton Grand on 29 October 2019. It will then tour to Aylesbury, Waterside Theatre from 6 to 9 November, Canterbury, Marlowe Theatre from 13 to 17 November, Wales Millennium Centre from 19 to 23 November, Theatre Royal, Plymouth from 26 to 30 November and Southampton, Mayflower Theatre from 3 to 7 December.

Nativity! will then run at Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith from 11 to 29 December 2019, with star Simon Lipkin and Rylan Clark-Neal with more cast to be announced soon.
