Nestlé UK launches worlds first 30% less sugar Milkybar Wowsomes – Chocolate NOT just for Christmas

Nestlé UK has today unveiled the worlds first chocolate goodies made with innovative sugar technology to produce Milkybar Wowsomes which will contain 30% LESS sugar – Could this be the new healthier way to indulge in our favourite festive treat?

For some, Christmas is when we can indulge in chocolate without feeling guilty but what if we told you Nestlé UK has unveiled Milkybar Wowsomes which has thirty per cent LESS sugar than similar chocolate products, yeah we’re also placing an order right now.

A world first, Experts at Nestlé from Switzerland, the UK and the Czech Republic used innovative sugar reduction technology to produce aerated, porous particles of sugar that dissolve more quickly in the mouth which then allows you to perceive the same level of sweetness without the huge amounts of sugar.

Stefano Agostini, CEO of Nestlé UK & Ireland said: “It is with great pride that the UK and Ireland becomes the first market in the world to use this exciting technology to create such a great tasting confectionery product. We have an unrivalled research and development network and the experts at our Product Technology Centre in York have been instrumental in this breakthrough. Teams across our UK business and around the world have been working incredibly hard to make this launch a reality.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better, the confectionery giant has also ensured that its largest individually product contains only 95 calories per bar! – does that mean we can have two?

Available in both milk and white chocolate, each tasty piece is made of smooth chocolate and has a creamy-tasting centre containing crispy oat cereal pieces.

Milkybar Wowsomes will begin to appear for sale in all major retailers across the UK and Ireland from next week.
